i'm 'from' 110th and Greenwood. my Swedish Greatgrandmother liked the climate better than Minnesota (else i might have been Yonny Yonson from Visconsin). Bateman, Spencer, Leo, Wayne and Jerome streets in Rainier Valley are named for my Maternal Grandfather (Ernest Spencer Bateman) and his four sons. i am nearly the last of the 'Bateman' clan living in Seattle proper. Fortunately for our 'footprint' here two of my cousins moved here from San Luis Obispo. as of late (aught)10 my Niece Holly moved from Gig Harbor to attend CC. she is a Seattle Native. the 'native daughter' returns :o)
